Mr. Lee is a registered architect in new york with nCARB certification. Mr. Lee is originally from Seoul Korea and he obtained bachelor of science in civil, urban & geoSystem engineering from seoul National University majored in urban design. mr. Lee pursued his studies on architecture at pennDesign, university of pennsylvania where he obtained master of architecture. he was the recipient of dales traveling fellowship and schenck henry gillette woodman scholarship. he won the 1st prize among 416 projects from 64 countries in evolo international skyscraper competition in 2009. mr. Lee was guest critic for many architecture program including korea university, hongik university, ewha women’s university, chung-ang university and sejong university.

before co-founding interface studios, mr. lee gained diverse/extensive experiences in most renowned architectural offices around the world, including foster+partners in London, united kingdom, UNStudio in Amsterdam, netherlands, Skidmore, Owings and merrill (SOM) in new york, United states. at uNStudio, he was the lead designer for galleria centercity project in choenan and many other international competitions that awarded, he was also a member of smart parametric unit. mr. lee is senior designer for hyundai motor Group headquarter tower project planned in samseong-dong, seoul.
