울산 라이프스타일 복합단지는 해안의 자연과 건축이 하나의 연속된 경험으로 통합되는 주거 풍경을 제안한다. 고요한 해안선과 그 배후의 산세 속에서, 자연과 여가가 공존하는 삶의 방식을 담는다. 바다의 유연한 흐름에서 비롯된 건축은 부드러운 곡선과 완만한 지형으로 드러나며, 절제된 평온한 질서를 구축한다. 이곳은 도시의 속도에서 벗어나 해안의 고요를 일상으로 끌어들이는 장소이다.

본 프로젝트는 지속 가능성과 환경적 책임을 설계의 근간으로 삼는다. 건물은 자연 채광·환기·조망을 극대화하도록 배치되었으며, 초기 단계의 컴퓨테이셔널 도구를 통해 데이터 기반의 최적 구성을 도출하였다. 토착 식생과 층위화된 조경은 건축을 감싸며 해안 환경을 완충하는 동시에, 거주자와 도시를 위한 공공적 녹지로 확장된다.

조형적 오브제와 정교한 식재로 구성된 중앙 중정은 다양한 활동을 수용하는 도시적 장이자, 일상적 교류를 촉진하는 커뮤니티의 중심이다. 문화시설은 예술과 지적 활동을 수용하며 주거 경험을 확장한다. 다양한 주거 유형은 바다와 산, 주변 경관과의 관계를 강화하고, 각 세대의 발코니와 테라스는 자연을 내부로 끌어들여 삶의 일부로 스며들게 한다.

Ulsan Seaside Hospitality & Residences

Ulsan Seaside Residential Complex proposes a residential landscape where architecture and the coastal environment are integrated into a continuous spatial experience. Set along a tranquil shoreline and backed by rising terrain, it embodies a way of life in which nature and leisure coexist. Inspired by the fluid movement of the sea, the architecture is articulated through gentle curves and contoured ground, establishing a restrained and calm order. It is a place that withdraws from the pace of the city, drawing coastal stillness into everyday life.

Grounded in sustainability and environmental responsibility, the project positions buildings to maximize natural light, ventilation, and views. Computational tools developed in the early design phase enabled data-driven optimization of the overall configuration. Native vegetation and layered landscapes envelop the architecture, buffering the coastal environment while extending into public green space for residents and the city.

The central courtyard, composed of sculptural elements and curated planting, functions as both an urban field for diverse activities and a social core that fosters interaction. Cultural facilities support artistic and intellectual engagement, expanding the residential experience. A range of housing types strengthens relationships with the sea, mountains, and surrounding landscape, while balconies and terraces draw nature inward, dissolving the boundary between interior and exterior.
